Reality is just a point of view.
- Relatio relata
The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words."
- Relatio relata
This was a difficult situation. Myra Sands was not the sort who could endure uncertainty; for her things had to be either this or that, either A or not-A - Myra made use of Aristotle's Law of the Excluded Middle like no-one else he knew.
- Fra The Crack in Space (1966).
My grand theme -- who is human and who only appears as human? -- emerges most fully. Unless we can individually and collectively be certain of the answer to this question, we face what is, the most serious problem possible. Without answering it adequately, we cannot even be certain of our own selves. I cannot even know myself, let alone you. So I keep working on this theme; to me nothing is as important a question. And the answer comes very hard.
- Relatio relata, men sitatet finnes også i en litt annen versjon her (kommer i eget vindu).
